Stars

The night skies in New Zealand are gorgeous. Thankfully there is very little light pollution even in cities such as Wellington. The low light pollution means on clear nights the stars are amazing. It is currently Maori New Year, or Matariki. This is the time of year when you can view the Pleides star cluster, the other name for the cluster is the Seven Sisters. According to Maori tradition the brighter the stars of the Seven Sister cluster are, the warmer the coming seasons will be. Come on "sisters" shine brightly.
